An Innervi Field

Strategy[ | ]

Innervi Field is medium-efficiency as a defender, having a similar cost to Wall and the same Fragile. While it has the downside of being fragile, it has several advantages:

  • Since it can regenerate Health1 per turn, it provides low absorb to a mono-green build. This absorb also has the advantage that it cannot be denied by simply dealing 0 damage into Innervi Field. Overall it can be thought of as a sort of mini-Xaetron.
  • Since Innervi Field gains health if it doesn't die in defense, it can be used as a counter to threat units such as Frostbite: you buy an Innervi Field, and if they don't use the Frostbite, Innervi gains health, rewarding you with an additional 1Fragile in return for building it instead of a Wall. If they do use the Frostbite on a Wall to force you to sacrifice the Innervi Field, then the Frostbite dies, taking the pressure off of your defense.
  • Additionally, you can simply buy it one turn early and it functions like an Infusion Grid - lacking Prompt, but having 4Fragile.

However, beware of constant chill units - units that can chill repeatedly without paying a cost each time. Against Tatsu Nullifiers for example, your Innervi Fields will just be frozen repeatedly until they die due to Lifespan, and they will never get to provide actual defensive value.
