Valkyrion is a Green-blue-red unit.
Panel
Strategy
Valkyrion is a unit that provides a large amount of when clicked at the cost of giving your opponent two Barriers for their next turn. If clicked constantly, it essentially produces two per turn, which isn't any better than a much cheaper Mahar Rectifier, however, it has its advantages:
- When bought, it immediately threatens four , which might force your opponent into overdefending for the turn. It accomplishes the same role as Odin as an 4 health absorber that pressures the opponent
- It can more efficiently deal with Frontline units and rushes. The 1 Lifespan Barriers you're giving your opponent are of no use if you're focusing down units that can't be defended
- It can be used in combination with synced Exhaust attackers such as Iso Kronus or Scorchilla. The barriers will expire during the off turns of your assault
Massing Valkyrions tend to not be very useful, since they're inefficient as raw attackers. As such, they can be comfortably built off of a single Conduit every so often. If you built one early in the game, you can construct a Valkyrion somewhere in the mid game, use it to absorb on its first turn, and then purchase another to then start attacking, putting much more breach pressure on their first click.
Valkyrion also works very well with Chill, which is a natural counter to Barriers. Buying a couple of Cryo Rays the turn after your Valkyrion will completely negate its downside for three turns
