Rhino is a Red unit. It's part of the basic set, the beginner Set and Antares.
Strategy
Rhinos are the red resource basic blocker unit. It features a somewhat poor amount of blocking given its cost, 5 Gold and 1 Red Resource for 2 Health. In terms of raw blocking power, two Engineers can block 2 Health for 4 Gold given enough foresight. However, Rhinos can mitigate 1 point of damage with other blockers or by themselves, and they do have prompt, allowing a player to use their red resources for immediate blocking purposes.
Despite this issue, Rhinos are unique among the basic defenders in that they also have some limited firepower. Unlike Steelsplitters which are offensive units that are decent defenders, Rhinos are somewhat the opposite, defenders with the potential for offense. However, they can only be clicked twice before they are depleted (at which point, you have obtained the full value from them and can safely discard them to damage). You can, at a baseline, use Rhinos to protect your other Rhinos and Tarsiers to put a great amount of pressure on the enemy.
Rhinos work well with other defenses of different values to help divvy up incoming damage optimally.
A warning to new players: The estimated Attack value shown during your turn also includes the Rhinos that are currently blocking. Always consider the minimum number of Rhinos that your opponent must use to block the damage, since those Rhinos will not be doing attack damage to you next turn. The same advice also applies to Steelsplitters and pretty much any other blockers that can be used for attack power.
