Comm-Net is the eighth mission of the first episode in Prismata. Complete all the missions of the episode to unlock the expert mission challenges. This mission is a an aggressive survival puzzle, where the enemy will overwhelm with numbers after several turns, if you do not succeed to do it first. Unlike similar previous missions, supply is added: As in regular play, a maximum number of the same type of unit can be build. For Walls that is a max of 10, so starting to deal damage early on is important. Below are hints and two winning builds.

The first version of this mission was created in 2013. The enemy was originally an evil robot named Vel'kar.


Hints and solution[ | ]

Info: Puzzles may have more than one successful strategy and solution. The two lines described (progressively) below either open with a strong economy, or with very early damage.

Shadowfangs are much more immediate attackers than Tarsiers, which in turn are much more cost-efficient than Steelsplitters.
There is no need to try adding drones after the starting phase in this mission.
You should be breaching the enemy defences (prioritize the non-tough Gunbots at first) around the same time as defending becomes almost impossible. Keep your tech building number as low as feasible.
It's ok to lose a lot, but not all, Drones on defence, to keep having the ideal [[Absorb]absorb].

Gilded Drones are much more cost-efficient than Drones. Buy the whole supply (4) by turn 7 or 8.

By turn 9 try to have the four Gilded Drones, 13 Drones, as well as: 2xBlastforge, 2xAnimus and 2x Shadowfang.
Focus the enemy Giga Fragments and (Giga) Gunbots. When you have the damage, destroy the enemy forges.

This is a very aggressive opening that likely only works in the mission. Try buying as much early offensive units as the game will allow.
